Location: London Victoria Office (Hybrid: 4 days in-office, 1 day remote)

About the Role

We are pioneering an AI-powered financial crime investigation platform that revolutionises how Ebury’s compliance teams operate. Our AI agents process thousands of screening cases, alleviating analyst workloads while adhering to regulatory standards.

We are seeking a Mid Full-Stack Engineer to collaborate across the entire development stack—from React frontends and Python backends to LLM integrations—shaping features that transform compliance operations. This opportunity lets you work at the cutting edge of AI/ML, fintech, and regulated industries, building enterprise-grade AI systems that handle real-world financial crime investigations.


What You’ll Do

  • Build end-to-end features across the React frontend and FastAPI backend
  • Design and develop AI agent workflows using LangGraph for screening automation
  • Integrate with internal APIs, third-party services, and data warehouses
  • Enhance the user experience (UX) for compliance analysts, ensuring seamless daily use
  • Write clean, well-documented, and tested code
  • Work closely with Product, Design, and Compliance stakeholders
  • Grow your AI/LLM expertise through guided learning and innovation

What We’re Looking For

Must-Have

  • 2–5 years of professional software engineering experience
  • React + TypeScript experience (or strong ability to upskill quickly)
  • Python backend experience (FastAPI, Django, or Flask)
  • Solid grasp of REST APIs, async programming, and databases
    • SQL and NoSQL (preferably experience with DynamoDB or MongoDB)
  • Familiarity with testing practices (unit/integration tests)
  • Clear communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-engineers
  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for AI/LLM innovations, even without prior experience

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with LLMs/AI (e.g., OpenAI, Claude, LangChain)
  • Knowledge of AWS services (ECS, Lambda, DynamoDB, etc.)
  • Understanding of streaming protocols (SSE, WebSockets)
  • Prior work in fintech, compliance, or regulated industries
  • Experience with micro-frontend architectures
