Mid-Level Full-Stack Software Engineer (React & Python)

Remote (UK) | £40,000 | Permanent

We're looking for a Mid-Level Full-Stack Software Engineer with genuine commercial experience across both React and Python to join our growing product engineering team. Experience with Shopify is beneficial.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys building production software across the full stack - not just creating user interfaces. You'll develop modern React applications, build and maintain Python backend services, and work closely with the wider engineering team to deliver reliable, scalable software.

We're looking for an engineer who takes ownership of their work, enjoys solving real technical problems, and wants to continue developing their skills in a collaborative environment.

What you'll be doing

  • Building and maintaining modern web applications using React
  • Developing and supporting backend services in Python (FastAPI, Django, Flask or similar)
  • Designing, building and integrating REST APIs
  • Debugging production issues and improving application performance and reliability
  • Writing clean, maintainable and well-tested code
  • Working closely with Product and Engineering to deliver new features
  • Contributing to technical discussions and helping improve the overall quality of the codebase

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
