About The Role
As an Engineering Consultant at Daemon, you will play a vital role in working on exciting client projects that leverage cloud technologies. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Designing, developing, and delivering cloud-based solutions on platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Implementing REST APIs, developing custom modules, and integrating third-party solutions to meet client requirements.
- Mentoring junior team members, sharing your knowledge with the wider team, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering practice.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of three years of development experience, with a focus on interfacing web APIs with public cloud platforms.
- Strong communication skills, capable of engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience in consultancy environments is highly desirable, demonstrating exceptional stakeholder management abilities.
- A solid understanding of cloud services, REST API development, and cloud provider platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and version control systems like GitHub.
- Knowledge of agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, and a desire to learn additional backend technologies or full-stack development will be advantageous.
- A proactive mindset, entrepreneurial spirit, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Responsibilities
- Implement REST APIs and interfaces on cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP to meet client specifications.
- Contribute to the design, development, and deployment of innovative cloud solutions, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
- Support and maintain existing solutions, identifying areas for improvement and implementing enhancements.
- Participate in continuous improvement of development processes, advocating best practices and coding standards.
- Develop custom modules and integrate third-party solutions to extend platform capabilities.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of cloud services and stay updated on emerging technologies.
- Share knowledge and expertise with team members and junior consultants, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
- Engage with senior non-technical stakeholders to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively.
