About The Role
We are seeking a talented and motivated Engineering Consultant to join our dynamic team in Central London. In this role, you will work on challenging client projects, primarily focusing on designing and delivering cloud-based solutions across platforms such as Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud. Your responsibilities will include developing REST APIs, integrating third-party services, and supporting the maintenance and enhancement of existing systems. You will play a vital role in mentoring junior team members, sharing your expertise, and contributing to the continuous improvement of development practices within the team. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience in software development, with a strong background in cloud API integration and consultancy. Proven experience working with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is essential. You should possess excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels. A solid understanding of REST API design, cloud services, and development methodologies such as Agile and Scrum is required. Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot is preferred, along with a desire to learn additional backend or full-stack technologies. Experience with version control systems like GitHub and a proactive mindset towards continuous learning and professional development are highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Implement and optimize REST APIs over interfaces on Azure, AWS, or GCP to meet client requirements.
- Participate in the design, development, and deployment of innovative cloud solutions, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
- Support the maintenance, troubleshooting, and enhancement of existing cloud-based applications.
- Contribute to the refinement of the team's development processes, advocating best practices and continuous improvement.
- Develop custom modules and integrate third-party solutions to extend platform capabilities.
- Maintain a strong understanding of cloud services and stay updated with emerging technologies.
- Mentor junior team members, sharing knowledge and fostering a collaborative learning environment.
- Engage with senior stakeholders to gather requirements, present solutions, and communicate technical concepts effectively.
