Job Description
TOPdesk London is growing, and we’re looking for a proven closer to join our sales team as an Account Executive, driving new business across the UK & Ireland.
This is a quota-carrying role for someone who already has a track record of consistently hitting or exceeding target in a SaaS sales environment, is fluent in a modern sales methodology, and knows how to run a full-cycle process from qualified pipeline through to signature.
Please note: internally this role is titled Business Development Manager, but the responsibilities and seniority are equivalent to an Account Executive
What you’ll do
- Own a pipeline of new business opportunities from demo stage through to close, with full accountability for hitting quota
- Partner with our BDR and Marketing teams – and generate your own pipeline where it counts – to keep a healthy, qualified pipeline
- Run demos with genuine technical credibility, handling objections and problem-solving live
- Lead strategic, multi-stakeholder conversations across different departments, seniority levels, and industries
- Navigate tender processes and contract negotiations to close complex deals
- Work cross-departmentally representing customer and business interests in equal measure
- From time to time, mentor and coach junior team members as a senior member of the sales team

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
