The Company
We’re partnering with a commercially successful, rapidly growing technology company building sophisticated AI-powered software for global enterprise customers.
Its platform helps organisations complete complex, business-critical work more quickly and accurately by combining modern AI capabilities, proprietary data and intelligent automation.
The company has already achieved significant commercial traction and is now investing heavily in its engineering function. You’ll join at a stage where you can meaningfully influence the product, technical architecture and engineering culture while building systems used daily by demanding, paying customers.
The Role
You’ll build and scale backend systems supporting the company’s customer-facing products and wider internal operations.
This is a systems-focused role for an engineer who enjoys thinking about data flows, performance, reliability and the way different technologies work together.
You’ll take ownership of technically challenging projects from initial discovery and architecture through to production, working closely with product, engineering and commercial stakeholders.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Designing and building scalable backend services
- Improving the performance and reliability of data-intensive systems
- Developing APIs, integrations and automated workflows
- Building internal platforms that help teams operate more efficiently
- Designing reliable data models and processing pipelines
- Integrating third-party technologies into production systems
- Taking technical projects from initial concept through to production
- Improving engineering practices as the platform and team scale
- Contributing to architectural and infrastructure decisions

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
