The Role
Working closely with the Creative Director, you’ll help to deliver top quality design solutions to a broad range of clients, turning strategy and creative direction into clear distinct branding and visual systems, across print and digital outputs. I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

You
You’ll either be a Midweight Designer keen to progress to Senior, or perhaps already a Senior Designer, with an agency background. What is important is you are a strong, well-rounded designer, with experience across brand, print and digital. In particular, you will need to have strong digital and website design skills, with a solid understanding of typography, layout and design principles across print and digital channels. You’ll be comfortable working at pace across multiple projects, bringing high-quality thinking and craft skills to each project. They’re looking for a Designer who is creatively ambitious, with technical skills across Adobe Creative Cloud and Figma. Any experience of moving image is a bonus, as is an interest in AI tools and how they can support design.
