Mid-Senior Software Developer
Mid-Senior Software Developer to join a growing software engineering team delivering mission-critical solutions within logistics, automation and industrial environments.
This role offers the opportunity to work on the design, development and deployment of scalable software platforms that integrate with advanced operational technologies, warehouse systems, robotics, and enterprise applications. The successful candidate will play an active role in developing new functionality, enhancing existing products, and supporting customers throughout the software lifecycle.
The position is ideal for a developer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and working on software that powers real-world operational systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain scalable software applications using .NET and Python
- Build and support RESTful APIs and backend services
- Develop integrations between internal platforms and third-party applications
- Work closely with project teams to gather requirements and design technical solutions
- Contribute to software architecture, system design and technology selection
- Develop robust database solutions and optimise application performance
- Support testing, deployment and commissioning activities
- Troubleshoot software defects and identify root causes of issues
- Participate in code reviews and promote software engineering best practices
- Produce technical documentation including functional specifications, API documentation and deployment guides
- Work within Agile development methodologies and contribute to sprint planning activities
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and platform innovation
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure project objectives and delivery milestones are achieved
- Support production systems and provide technical assistance where required

Technical Requirements
Essential
- Strong commercial experience developing applications using C# and .NET
- Commercial Python development experience
- Experience building REST APIs and service-oriented architectures
- Strong understanding of software design principles and object-oriented programming
- Experience working with PostgreSQL, SQL Server or other relational databases
- Knowledge of database design, optimisation and query development
- Experience integrating software systems and third-party applications
- Proficient with Git source control and modern development workflows
- Experience using Docker and containerised deployments
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting capabilities
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
