Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What you’ll be doing

  • Deconstruct & Distil: Ingest high-frequency, tactical briefs from our anchor financial client across luxury consumer, small business, and corporate merchant tiers.
  • Craft the Proposition: Define the exact channel architecture, messaging frameworks, and single-minded propositions (SMPs) that guide creative copywriters and designers.
  • Own the Digital Journey: Focus heavily on high-impact customer communications—building intelligent strategies optimised for email ecosystems, mobile apps, and social channels.
  • Command the Room: Act as a trusted strategic advisor to senior clients. Lead client presentations, demonstrate your expertise live, and confidently defend your strategic choices under pushback.

What you’ll bring

  • Agency Experience: 3 to 6 years of proven experience as a Strategist or Planner in a UK marketing agency environment (prior experience in a small/independent agency is strongly preferred).
  • True Comms Planning DNA: Deep expertise in traditional comms planning, asset mapping, customer messaging, and creative brief writing.
  • Tactical Channel Expertise: A portfolio rich in high-volume email-led campaigns, lifecycle CRM, app integrations, and targeted digital activations rather than slow-moving TV or traditional Out-Of-Home (OOH).
  • Sector Familiarity: Financial services or premium B2C experience is a definite plus, but your core comms planning mechanics and agency agility matter most.
  • Client Confidence: Natural presence when presenting to clients, with the resilience to navigate constructive live debate and defend your work with authority.
