Dimensions of Role
This is a hybrid role based at Lord's Cricket Ground in north London. The successful candidate will work from the office a minimum of three days per week.
Key Purpose of Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Marketing & Communications team at the iconic Lord's Cricket Ground as a Mid-weight Designer.
Reporting to the Head of Creative, you'll play a key role in delivering creative work across the Club's diverse portfolio of brands and business areas. We're looking for a true all-round designer – someone equally comfortable working across print, digital and motion. You'll have strong creative thinking, excellent attention to detail and take pride in producing beautifully crafted work from concept through to final delivery.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced in-house environment and wants to continue developing their creative skills within a supportive, collaborative team. You'll combine creative thinking with excellent craft, a positive attitude, enthusiasm and a desire to learn.
You'll also understand how AI is changing the creative landscape. We don't see AI as a replacement for creativity or design thinking, but as another tool that can help generate ideas, improve workflows and enhance creative output. We're looking for someone who has begun exploring these tools thoughtfully whilst maintaining excellent design craft and originality.
An interest in cricket/sport is advantageous but not essential.
Please note: A portfolio demonstrating a breadth of work across print, digital and motion design is required for all applications.
Key Tasks and Accountabilities
- Develop creative concepts and execute high-quality design solutions across a broad range of marketing and communications projects.
- You’ll have an exceptional portfolio of work that showcases your design skills, and ability to interpret a creative brief across multiple platforms — including print collateral, large format print, digital assets (static & animated), social media content, web banners, infographics, presentations and more.
- Produce accurate, print-ready artwork and prepare files to production specifications across both print and digital outputs.
- Maintain consistency across all creative work by applying and evolving brand guidelines with a high level of attention to detail.
- Develop a strong understanding of the Club's brands, audiences and commercial objectives to produce work that is both creative and effective.
- Liaise confidently with internal stakeholders, external suppliers, printers and production partners to ensure the highest quality standards are achieved.
- Present creative ideas confidently, explaining design decisions clearly to colleagues and stakeholders.
- Stay informed about emerging design trends, technologies and AI-powered creative tools, using them appropriately to support – not replace – creative thinking and execution.
- Organise and maintain design files, templates and master assets using effective file management practices.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while consistently meeting deadlines and maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Be an active member of a small creative team by sharing ideas, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive, collaborative culture.
- Highly organised, with excellent time management skills and ability to hit multiple deadlines, whilst maintaining accuracy.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
