Role Description

As a Mid weight Designer at Pillory Barn, you will work on branding, digital, and marketing design projects from concept to final delivery. Day-to-day tasks include:

  • Developing creative concepts
  • Producing design assets for print and digital channels
  • Collaborating with account managers, copywriters, and other specialists to ensure cohesive campaigns
  • Contributing to presentations
  • Preparing artwork for production
  • Maintaining brand consistency across all client touchpoints

This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Medway, with the flexibility to work from home for part of the week, depending on project needs and team collaboration requirements.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in visual and graphic design, with experience creating brand identities, digital assets, and marketing materials.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud such as Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, XD/Figma).
  • Ability to translate briefs into clear creative concepts and layouts, and to present design ideas confidently to internal teams and clients.
  • Experience working within integrated campaigns across print, web, social, and other digital platforms.
  • Attention to detail in typography, layout, and visual hierarchy, with a strong sense of usability and user experience for digital work.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work constructively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities, including managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced agency environment.
  • Relevant design qualification or degree (e.g., Graphic Design, Visual Communication) and a portfolio demonstrating mid-weight level work.
  • Previous agency experience and familiarity with UK-based clients and markets would be beneficial.
