Exciting Opportunity for an Mid-weight Graphic Designer
Salary: £28,000
Location: Home based with some travel to head office as required
Hours: 30 hours across 4 or 5 days, to be discussed and agreed

Are you an experienced designer with a sharp strategic eye and a portfolio of creative work to prove it? The Progress Group have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Mid-Weight Graphic Designer to join our well-established in-house Marketing Team on a part-time basis. Working closely with our Creative Lead, this role would suit a freelance designer looking to bring their skills into a part-time in-house role, or someone with an agency background who is used to managing multiple brands simultaneously.

Role and Key Responsibilities:
- Use creative briefs to independently produce high-quality design collateral across a broad range of projects for each of the brands within the group.
- Work with the Creative Lead to produce conceptual documents as needed, to help evolve and elevate the brands.
- Create social media and digital assets, applying strategic brand awareness to strengthen consistency and recognition.
- Confidently implement our brand guidelines when completing design briefs, and using your experience to help evolve them where useful.
- Show initiative and strategic thinking to question and shape briefs where required, working with the marketing team to ensure designs fulfil objectives while working to deadlines.
- Manage multiple brands and design briefs simultaneously, prioritising effectively to deliver high-quality work at pace.
- Manage day-to-day tasks and projects effectively through Asana, ensuring all design jobs are delivered on time.
Personal Specification - Experience:
- Extensive, hands-on knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign - Essential.
- Excellent layout, typographic and art direction skills – Essential.
- Experience of using Adobe Premiere and After Effects - Preferred.
- A portfolio demonstrating a varied range of design work across a multitude of platforms including web, mobile, print, display etc. - Essential.
- Good working knowledge of print processes and production – Essential.
- The ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment - Essential.
- Strong communication skills - Essential.
- Excellent organisational skills and an ability to work on multiple brands and projects simultaneously, with confidence to manage your own workload - Essential.
