Were working with a fast-growing and ambitious business in Plymouth that's looking to add a Mid-Level Web Developer with Shopify experience to their expanding in-house team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a developer who wants to be part of a collaborative environment, working on a variety of ecommerce and web projects with real impact.
The Opportunity
You'll be responsible for developing, customising and maintaining Shopify-based websites, working closely with designers, account managers and senior team to deliver fast, scalable and conversion-focused online stores.
This is a great opportunity for a developer who enjoys variety across projects and hands-on Shopify development.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and customise Shopify themes using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Translate UI/UX designs into responsive, production-ready storefronts
- Develop and maintain custom Shopify features and components
- Integrate third-party apps, APIs, and services (payments, shipping, CRM, etc.)
- Optimise website performance, speed, and SEO
- Troubleshoot, debug, and maintain existing Shopify stores
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver projects to deadline and specification

Requirements
- 2-5 years web development experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Shopify development
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3
- Experience working with Shopify themes and APIs
- Understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
- Familiarity with Git version control
- Awareness of SEO and performance optimisation best practices

Desirable Skills
- Experience developing Shopify apps
- Knowledge of React or modern JavaScript frameworks
- Experience with Shopify Hydrogen or headless commerce
Package & Benefits
- £42,000 annual salary
- Full-time, on-site role in Plymouth
