We're looking for an experienced and ambitious freelance UX & Digital Designer. This role is ideal for someone with 3+ years' experience who is passionate about all things digital, enjoys solving complex problems through design solutions, and wants to play a key role in delivering outstanding results for a diverse range of clients.
As a Midweight UX & Digital Designer, you'll need to be an expert at creative thinking, juggling priorities and working to tight deadlines in a fast-paced industry where things can change with little notice. You'll work closely with our wider team across both website, development and marketing to deliver A-grade designs that drive measurable business outcomes.
We require a minimum of 2 days per week, in the form of an ongoing retainer, and currently open to negotiate on rates for the right freelancer.
Responsibilities
- Work across a range of digital design experiences - from UX/UI or product-focused briefs, to branding, graphic design, email newsletters, pitch decks and more.
- Contribute to complex, fixed-term jobs - supporting client and project management to ensure timely delivery; being highly organised with strong verbal communication is essential.
- Build and maintain design systems and guidelines that ensure consistency and quality across all our work.
- Work with stakeholders to understand business needs, user requirements and technical constraints - and translate them into intuitive, effective designs.
- Support design workshops and presentations that engage clients and explain our process and problem-solving approach.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
