About This Role
Working Hours: 7.5 hours per week
Working Pattern: Mon - Friday 11:30 - 13:00
KEY PURPOSE
To support the safety, well-being, and positive behaviour of pupils during the lunchtime period, ensuring a calm, caring, and structured environment. Working under the direction of senior staff and in line with school policies, you will help manage the dining hall, promote good manners and healthy relationships, and contribute to the overall welfare and enjoyment of the children.
MAIN ACTIVITIES
You Will Be Expected To
- Supervise pupils in the dining hall and other designated areas, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Assist pupils with routines such as lining up, collecting meals, clearing away, and transitioning calmly between lunch and lessons.
- Promote healthy eating habits and good table manners, offering guidance and encouragement where needed.
- Monitor pupil behaviour, responding appropriately to incidents and reporting concerns to senior staff in line with school procedures.
- Help maintain a clean, tidy, and safe environment by supporting with clearing tables, managing equipment, and ensuring play areas remain orderly.
- Provide care and support for pupils who may need additional help, including those feeling unwell, upset, or struggling socially.
