Midday Supervisor

7.5 hours per week

We are seeking to appoint a Midday Supervisor to join our friendly team. The role includes supervising and supporting our children during the lunchtime periods, Monday to Friday from 11.45am to 1.15pm. Duties also include setting out tables and chairs and some cleaning up duties.

Our new lunchtime supervisor will work alongside our existing lunchtime staff to ensure the safety and well-being of our pupils at this important time of the day. Do you have a desire to work as a member of a team, an enthusiasm for helping children and a willingness to help develop children's happiness, confidence and readiness for the future? If so, we'd love to hear from you.

We offer a positive and thriving school environment, well-behaved children and a great team of staff. Please note that previous experience is not essential but applications that describe some experience of working in a school environment will be especially welcomed.

About Us

Southill Primary School is an inclusive school offering high quality provision in a warm and friendly environment. We have high expectations of our children, who are keen to learn, and high expectations of our staff, who are a talented, committed and supportive team. We strongly believe that the mental wellbeing of our pupils is as important as their learning.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

This role is UK based and your Right to Work will need to be established as part of the appointment process.

Southill Primary School will conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates. This check will be part of a safeguarding check, and the search will purely be based on whether an individual is suitable to work with children. All aspects of social media and internet searches will be conducted. As care must be taken to avoid unconscious bias and any risk of discrimination, a person who will not be on the appointment panel will conduct the searches and will only share information if and when findings are relevant and of concern.

The salary quoted is the annual salary for the position at the time of advert and this will be paid in 12 equal monthly instalments. In the first year of service this salary may need to be adjusted to ensure you are paid accurately to reflect your holiday entitlement. A similar adjustment may be made at the point your employment ends to ensure that you are paid accurately for the number of days worked.
