Midday Supervisor
Location: Fordham, Cambridgeshire
Start Date: Immediate / ASAP
Contract: Part-Time (Monday to Friday, 11:00am - 3:00pm): Ongoing / Long-Term
Salary: GBP15.00 per hour
Are you a caring, dependable individual looking for a rewarding school-based role in Fordham?
Randstad Education is currently seeking a friendly Midday Supervisor to join a supportive primary school community near Ely and Newmarket. Working 20 hours per week (11:00am to 3:00pm, Monday to Friday), this role is ideal if you are looking for local part-time hours that fit perfectly around family or other morning and evening commitments.
As a Midday Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring lunchtimes run smoothly, creating a safe, positive, and active environment for children both in the dining hall and on the playground.
Key Responsibilities
- Playground Supervision: As an encouraging Midday Supervisor, you will lead play activities, monitor children during outdoor break time, and ensure games are inclusive and safe.
- Dining Hall Support: Assist younger children with seating, opening food packaging, encouraging good table manners, and keeping dining areas clean and organized.
- Promote Safety and Wellbeing: Uphold school behavior guidelines, resolve minor pupil disagreements with patience, and provide first aid support or report injuries when necessary.
- Support School Transitions: Help manage the smooth transition of classes between the dining hall, outdoor play areas, and afternoon classrooms.
- Team Communication: Work closely with teaching assistants, site staff, and senior leadership as an attentive Midday Supervisor to ensure pupil welfare is maintained throughout the afternoon.

Candidate Profile
We are searching for a warm, reliable Midday Supervisor who enjoys working alongside young children.
- Prior experience as a Midday Supervisor, lunchtime assistant, nursery worker, or child-carer is desirable, but a positive, caring attitude is most important.
- Excellent communication skills and a patient, approachable manner with primary-aged children.
- Punctual, reliable, and available to work 11:00am to 3:00pm, Monday through Friday.
- Full Right to Work in the UK.
- Holds an Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or readiness to process one immediately through Randstad).
