About This Role

We are seeking to appoint a Midday Supervisory Assistant to join our caring and committed school team. This is an important role supporting the safety, wellbeing and positive behaviour of our pupils during the lunchtime period.

The role is offered as a permanent contract, term time only. Your normal working hours would be 11.30am to 1.15pm on Mondays and Fridays and 11.50am to 1.35pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays (8 hours 45 minutes per week).

About The Role

As a Midday Supervisory Assistant, you will be responsible for supervising pupils during the midday break, both in the dining hall and, at times, outdoors. You will help ensure that lunchtime is a safe, calm and happy experience for all children, promoting positive behaviour in line with the school’s policies and Christian ethos.

The role also includes supporting pupils during meals, assisting with basic cleaning and clearing duties in dining areas, and responding appropriately to minor accidents or incidents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise pupils during the midday break, ensuring their safety, welfare and good conduct
  • Support pupils in the dining hall, including moving to and from dining areas
  • Assist pupils with meals where necessary (e.g. trays, cutlery, drinks)
  • Maintain good order and behaviour during lunchtime
  • Assist with clearing tables, wiping surfaces and dealing with spillages
  • Carry out minor first aid and report accidents or incidents appropriately
  • Supervise pupils on the playground or external areas when required
  • Work closely with other staff and fully comply with safeguarding procedures

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
