Middle Office Associate – Listed Derivatives - London
We're working with a leading global financial services firm seeking a Middle Office Associate to join its growing Derivatives Operations team in London.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience supporting Financial Futures and Equity Derivatives who wants to move into a broad, front office-facing role with significant exposure to trading, technology, and business change.
This isn't a traditional back-office position. You'll work closely with traders, brokers, and technology teams, taking ownership of the end-to-end trade lifecycle while helping to improve processes, strengthen controls, and support the continued growth of the business.
The Role
As part of a high-performing global Middle Office team, you'll be responsible for ensuring trades are processed accurately, operational risks are effectively managed, and clients receive a first-class service.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
