Middle Office Associate – Futures & Equity Derivatives
Financial Markets | Derivatives | Middle Office
We are looking for an experienced Middle Office / Trade Support professional to join a global financial markets business, supporting Financial Futures and Equity Derivatives trading activities. This is not a traditional back-office or clearing role.
We are looking for someone who understands the trade lifecycle, enjoys working closely with trading desks and brokers, and is comfortable investigating and resolving issues across electronic trade flows.
The role
Working as part of the Middle Office team, you will provide day-to-day support to Financial Futures and Equity Derivatives trading activities, acting as a key operational contact for the front office.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing and monitoring trade flows throughout the trade lifecycle
- Reconciling positions and investigating trade breaks or discrepancies
- Managing trade allocations across futures markets
- Monitoring electronic trade flows and resolving connectivity or processing issues
- Supporting trade confirmations, client statements, and regulatory reporting
- Validating daily trading volumes and P&L
- Working closely with brokers, trading desks, technology, risk, finance, and compliance
- Supporting the onboarding of voice and electronic/DMA execution clients
- Identifying opportunities to improve and automate Middle Office controls and processes
- Supporting new trading systems and technology initiatives

What we're looking for
You will ideally have experience within Middle Office, Trade Support, Derivatives Operations, Futures Operations, or Electronic Trading Support in a financial markets environment.
We're particularly interested in candidates who have:
- Strong knowledge of Financial Futures and/or Equity Derivatives
- A good understanding of trade flows and lifecycle events
- Experience with FIX connectivity, STP, and electronic trading workflows
- Experience supporting brokers or trading desks
- Strong reconciliation, investigation, and problem-solving skills
- Experience working within a regulated financial services environment
- The confidence to work independently and take ownership of operational issues

Experience with ATEO/TT products such as TEO or LISA would be highly advantageous.
Exposure to futures markets including ICE, Eurex, CME, CBOT, or major Asian exchanges would also be beneficial.
