Senior Manager, OTC Derivatives
This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the operational management, strategic development, and control framework supporting a growing OTC derivatives business. The successful candidate will combine deep product knowledge with strong leadership capabilities, partnering closely with Trading, Technology, Risk, Treasury, Finance, Legal, and Compliance teams globally.
Key Responsibilities
Product & Trade Lifecycle Management
- Oversee the full lifecycle of exotic OTC derivative products from execution through settlement.
- Ensure accurate trade capture, booking, validation, lifecycle event processing, and trade maintenance.
- Manage collateral, financing events, corporate actions, cash management and position management activities.
- Maintain robust reconciliation processes across counterparties, brokers and internal systems.
- Drive exception management and operational issue resolution.
- Partner with Treasury on collateral optimization, liquidity management and funding requirements.
- Oversee CSA, ISDA and Prime Brokerage documentation and ensure effective margin management processes.
Middle Office & Trade Support
- Provide first-line support to global trading desks.
- Maintain strong controls across trade validation, collateral management, settlement oversight, cash and position management.
- Manage relationships with Prime Brokers and counterparties.
- Support business growth initiatives while ensuring operational resilience and scalability.

Product Governance & Business Management
- Act as the operational lead for OTC product activity.
- Partner with key stakeholders across Trading, Legal, Treasury, Compliance, Finance and Technology.
- Lead operational readiness for new products, markets and strategic initiatives.
- Drive onboarding and business expansion projects.
Financial & Strategic Oversight
- Calculate and analyse daily, monthly and quarterly P&L.
- Perform P&L attribution and identify drivers of financing and trading costs.
- Analyse capital usage, funding costs, margin utilisation, balance sheet consumption and return on capital metrics.
- Support strategic decision-making through operational and financial insights.
Risk Management & Controls
- Maintain a robust operational risk and control framework.
- Identify, assess and mitigate operational, settlement, valuation and counterparty risks.
- Lead root cause analysis and remediation efforts for operational incidents.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory obligations and internal governance standards.
Automation & Technology
- Drive automation, digitisation and process improvement initiatives.
- Partner with technology teams to deliver scalable strategic solutions.
- Improve efficiency, control effectiveness and operational scalability through technology and AI-driven solutions.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing Middle Office and Trade Support team.
- Translate business strategy into clear team objectives and measurable outcomes.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external counterparties globally.

Requirements
- 5+ years of OTC derivatives operations, middle office or trade support experience.
- Proven leadership experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong understanding of OTC derivatives trade lifecycles, market conventions, collateral and margin management.
- Experience supporting complex and/or exotic OTC products.
- Knowledge of OTC regulatory frameworks, including UMR.
- Strong commercial awareness and business management capabilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth trading environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics or a related quantitative discipline.
- Exposure to SQL, VBA, Python and AI-enabled workflow solutions is highly desirable.
