- Design, construction, and facility management for mission-critical environments (e.g., data centres, disaster recovery, business continuity sites).

About the Role
ST Engineering seeks an experienced Middleware Engineer to:
- Take ownership of enterprise middleware platforms (both on-premise and AWS cloud).
- Demonstrate deep technical expertise, leadership, and hands-on experience in designing, managing, and optimising complex middleware ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities
Core Technical Leadership
- Lead the design, implementation, and support of enterprise middleware platforms.
- Serve as the L3 escalation point for:
- Complex incidents
- Performance issues
- Critical outages
End-to-end Lifecycle Management
- Oversee the full lifecycle of middleware systems:
- Installation
- Configuration
- Patching
- Upgrades
- Decommissioning
Technical Support & Automation
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to L1/L2 engineers.
- Support automation using scripting or DevOps tools.
- Ensure seamless collaboration with infrastructure, database, application, and cloud teams.
High Availability & Disaster Recovery
- Architect and implement high availability (HA), DR, and resilient middleware solutions.
- Manage and support:
- IBM WebSphere Application Server v9
- Oracle WebLogic Server (12c / 19c, including OSB/SOA)
- Red Hat JBoss Application Server
Technical Optimisation & Security
- Drive performance tuning, capacity planning, and optimisation initiatives.
- Ensure middleware security hardening and compliance (including VAPT remediation, patching).
- Oversee application deployment, environment setup, and release coordination.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support DR drills, failover testing, and audit activities.

Requirements
Minimum Experience & Expertise
- 8 years of relevant middleware experience, including 3–5 years in a lead/L3 technical role.
- Hands-on proficiency with:
- IBM WebSphere Application Server v9
- Oracle WebLogic Server (12c / 19c, including OSB/SOA)
- Red Hat JBoss Application Server
- Experience with:
- Crystal Reports
- Elasticsearch administration
Technical Skills
- Strong expertise in troubleshooting, performance tuning, and system optimisation.
- Hands-on experience with Linux/Unix environments.
- Knowledge of scripting (e.g., Shell, Python).
- Proven ability to manage production-critical environments.
