Our client is one of the world’s leading trading firms, at the cutting edge of financial technology, trading and quantitative analytics.
In London, with hybrid working, they’re looking to hire an experienced Middleware Engineer with good Kafka experience, to drive the growth of this area.
Working in a small, agile team, you’ll have real ownership over your work and be regarded as a technical expert.
You'll have the opportunity to work across tools such as Kafka, Keycloak and Vault and drive projects across areas such as secrets management and load balancing.

Requirements:
- Excellent background as a middleware engineer, ideally in a 24/7 trading / finance environment.
- Strong Kafka experience
- SRE / production support knowledge
- Experience working with distributed systems
- A good understanding of networking, latency, and failover strategy.
- Knowledge of tools such as Keycloak and Vault
- Experience with capacity management, performance tuning, and system scaling.
- Familiarity with Linux and scripting (Bash, Python, etc.)
- Any knowledge of DevOps tools such as Kubernetes, Cloud and automation would be ideal
