Job Description

Universal Design Studio

Universal Design Studio is an architecture and interiors practice based in London and New York, dedicated to creating spaces that inspire and endure. Founded in 2001 by Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby, the studio has built an international reputation for delivering thoughtful, finely crafted environments grounded in design-led strategy and research. We design from the inside out, crafting spaces that elevate everyday experiences. Through the ideas, objects, and spaces we create, we seek to cultivate intelligence, find beauty, and drive transformation, all while deepening connections, inspiring participation, and unlocking creative potential in every interaction.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Designer to join Universal Design Studio in London. Reporting to the Senior Creative Team, you will play an important role in supporting both the creative and technical delivery of our projects, ensuring our work consistently meets the highest design standards.

This role is ideal for a proactive team player with a passion for design in its broadest sense, keen to grow their skills, take on responsibility, and contribute positively to our collaborative studio culture. You will support the design team across project stages, help communicate creative intent with clarity, and begin to liaise with clients and external collaborators.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
