Midweight Designer

The company is looking for a talented and ambitious Midweight Designer to help shape captivating visual narratives across a range of global marketing campaigns. Working across multiple markets, the role requires someone who can generate strong conceptual ideas quickly and translate them into engaging, high-quality creative within a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of typography, layout, animation and art direction, with the ability to develop and produce creative work that aligns with brand guidelines and campaign objectives. They will work across a variety of platforms and formats, including social media, digital, web, print and video.

Main Duties

  • Work closely with the Creative Lead and wider Design Team to respond to creative briefs and deliver engaging work that adheres to brand guidelines and creative standards.
  • Develop attractive, effective and commercially relevant designs across digital marketing, e-commerce, social media, paid media and print.
  • Create and adapt creative across digital, print and motion formats to support wider business objectives.
  • Produce high-quality work to agreed deadlines, ensuring creative consistently captures the attention of the target audience.
  • Collaborate effectively with the wider creative team, contributing positively to departmental goals and maintaining high standards of professionalism.
  • Work closely with stakeholders across different departments to understand requirements and ensure briefs are delivered to expectation.
  • Manage multiple creative briefs effectively, prioritising workload and ensuring projects remain on track through to completion.
  • Provide creative support and guidance to junior members of the team where appropriate.
  • Maintain consistency and attention to detail across all creative outputs, regardless of project size or format.

General Duties & Skills

  • Monitor, track and communicate recurring issues or opportunities to key stakeholders, helping to improve creative processes and output.
  • Take ownership of ongoing professional development, continuously strengthening creative skills, knowledge and industry awareness.
  • Stay informed about emerging AI design trends, creative technologies and industry tools, identifying responsible opportunities to improve creativity, efficiency and quality of output.
  • Demonstrate a genuine interest in the hair and beauty industry and an understanding of relevant creative and consumer trends.
  • Quickly understand business objectives and translate them into effective creative solutions while keeping company values at the forefront of the work.
  • Communicate confidently and professionally with colleagues, stakeholders, partners and customers at all levels.
  • Demonstrate a positive, caring and can-do attitude that contributes to a supportive team culture.
  • Be highly organised, with strong time-management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Be reliable, honest and trustworthy in all aspects of the role.
  • Show a willingness to learn new skills, embrace feedback and continue developing within the company.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the company’s products, services and brand, with appropriate training and support provided.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • A minimum of three years’ professional design experience, ideally within an agency or in-house creative team, with a strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality creative work.
  • Experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, with excellent multitasking, prioritisation and project-management skills.
  • A genuine desire to learn, develop and grow as a creative professional.
  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe InDesign, After Effects, Illustrator and Photoshop, alongside proficiency in Figma.
  • A strong understanding of contemporary design principles, including typography, layout, composition, digital design and motion.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to confidently present and explain creative ideas.
  • Proficiency across leading design software and creative production tools.
  • The ability to work effectively to tight deadlines within a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience taking creative projects from initial concept through to final production and delivery.
  • A consistent approach to quality and attention to detail across projects of varying scale and complexity.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to contribute effectively to the wider creative team.
  • A commitment to maintaining and continuously improving design standards.
  • The ability to receive, interpret and apply constructive feedback to strengthen creative output.
