What you’ll do

  • Develop thoughtful and compelling design concepts in response to strategic and creative briefs, from initial research and sketching through to refined creative development.
  • Translate brand strategy into distinctive visual solutions across identity, packaging, retail, digital, social and other integrated touchpoints.
  • Help create and evolve brand worlds, visual systems, toolkits and guidelines that are clear, flexible and effective across different channels and markets.
  • Work closely with senior designers and creative directors to develop high-quality creative work from concept through to production.
  • Contribute to workshops, brainstorms, critiques and collaborative design sessions.
  • Present your ideas clearly, explaining the thinking behind your work and responding positively to feedback.
  • Manage your own workstreams, prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines across multiple projects.
  • Collaborate with strategists, client teams, production specialists and external partners to ensure work is delivered to a high standard.
  • Apply creative thinking within legal, regulatory, accessibility, sustainability and production requirements.
  • Support the development of pitches, proactive ideas and new business opportunities where required.
  • Stay curious about design, culture, technology and emerging creative trends.
  • Use AI and emerging tools thoughtfully and responsibly to support exploration, prototyping, learning and efficiency, while protecting client confidentiality and intellectual property.

What you’ll need

  • Experience in a similar Designer role within a brand, design or creative agency, or an in-house creative team.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking, design craft and the ability to develop ideas from brief through to execution.
  • The ability to turn strategic and verbal thinking into clear, distinctive and engaging visual solutions.
  • Experience working with consumer, FMCG/CPG, food, beverage, nutrition, health, lifestyle or related brands would be beneficial.
  • An understanding of how typography, colour, imagery, layout, composition and messaging work together to create compelling brand experiences.
  • Experience developing work across multiple channels, such as packaging, retail, shopper marketing, digital, social and campaigns.
  • An understanding of how to build consistent yet flexible brand assets and visual systems.
  • Confidence presenting your work and explaining your creative rationale to colleagues and clients.
  • A good awareness of current and emerging design, creative, cultural and consumer trends.
  • Strong attention to detail and an understanding of design production, including preparing and handing over work for final artwork.
  • Excellent technical skills across Adobe Creative Suite and Figma. Experience with Miro, AI-enabled tools and traditional design methods such as sketching is also desirable.
  • An understanding of digital design and motion, with the ability to consider how visual ideas may work across different formats and platforms.
  • An interest in inclusive, accessible and sustainable design principles.
  • A collaborative, positive and professional approach, with the curiosity and resilience to learn, contribute and develop within a team.
