Midweight Graphic Designer

Are you an experienced Graphic Designer looking for a varied in-house role where you can make a visible impact across multiple brands and marketing channels? Our client is seeking a talented Midweight Graphic Designer to join their established marketing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and commercially minded designer with a strong portfolio and at least four years' professional experience. Working closely with a collaborative marketing team, you will create high-quality design work across both print and digital platforms, taking projects from concept through to final delivery.

  • Salary: £32,000 - £38,000 dependent on experience

  • Fully office-based role in Chelmsford
  • Working hours: 8:30am - 6:00pm
  • Opportunity to work from home one day per week after successful completion of a six-month probation period

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver creative assets across print and digital channels
  • Create brochures, direct mail, advertising campaigns, signage, publications, and marketing collateral
  • Develop digital content for websites, social media, email campaigns, and online advertising
  • Take creative briefs from concept through to completed artwork
  • Ensure all creative work is delivered to brand guidelines and high-quality standards
  • Prepare production-ready artwork and liaise with external suppliers where required
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Support campaign planning with creative ideas and design input
  • Maintain organized artwork, files, and creative assets

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum four years' professional graphic design experience
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating both print and digital design work
  • Advanced Adobe Creative Cloud skills, particularly InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
  • Strong understanding of typography, layout, colour, and visual hierarchy
  • Excellent print production and artwork preparation experience
  • Experience creating digital assets for web, email, social media, and advertising campaigns
  • Experience taking projects from initial brief through to final delivery
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Desirable Experience

  • Experience working across multiple brands or client accounts
  • Editorial, magazine, or publication design experience
  • Paid social media and digital advertising asset creation
  • Motion graphics, animation, or video editing experience
  • Photography, retouching, or art direction experience

Additional Requirement

Due to the nature of the role, candidates should hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own vehicle.
