Midweight Key Art Designer

About Us

Based in the heart of London and LA, Once Upon a Time is an integrated marketing & content agency that builds brands and creates end-to-end campaigns for our clients. We know how to speak to the people that can't wait to indulge in movies, TV, games, consumer products and music. We're much more than an agency - we're an extension of our clients' teams.

From strategy, to creative, to production, to media, we handle it all. We conceive it. We design it. We make it. We place it.

We sweat the small stuff and the big stuff, across sector and craft, to deliver more of the world-class content everyone loves.

Role Overview

We are looking for a talented and creatively driven Midweight Key Art Designer to join our creative team.

The successful candidate will have experience working across entertainment design and a strong portfolio demonstrating key art, campaign creative and image-led design work across film, television or streaming.

This is a hands-on design role for someone with strong Photoshop skills, a good eye for composition and typography, and the ability to develop creative ideas from brief through to final execution.

A large amount of the role will be working on Netflix on-platform creative (a mixture of conceptual and stills-based concepts). So, we are looking for someone who has a good eye for extracting moments from content that adhere to the brief and land clear genre cues to work effectively on platform.

You will work closely with Senior Designers, Creative Directors, Producers and the wider studio team, contributing to a range of entertainment campaigns while continuing to develop your conceptual and technical skills.

We are an exciting, bustling studio that works collaboratively. Therefore, we require the right candidate to deliver quality, speed and have a can-do attitude.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
