Description
Premier League Studios is seeking a Midweight Static Designer to play a key role in helping grow the global reach of our competition, increasing engagement across the Premier League’s owned and operated channels, using design and visual storytelling to make the game more accessible, engaging, and understandable for new and casual audiences.
Working closely with colleagues across the Premier League, you will create content that sits across the Premier League’s website, app, and digital marketing channels. Applying strong creative judgement to know when design should lead, when it should support, and when simplicity is most effective. We're looking for a designer with a good understanding of platform best practice, and who can balance brand expression with ‘what will work’.

In November 2024, the Premier League announced it was establishing a new in-house media operations business launching at the start of the 2026/27 Premier League Season. Premier League Studios will be responsible for all international media content production and distribution, providing a best-in-class content service to the Premier League’s partners and millions of passionate fans around the world.

Our hybrid-working model also allows you some variety on your place of work, offering you the chance to work from home on some days each week, where possible. You will be expected to attend the office or site visits in line with our company policy. All staff liaise closely with their line manager to manage their time appropriately and according to their work and team requirements.
The Role
- Interpret creative briefs and develop engaging design solutions across Premier League Studios’ digital platforms.
- Create high-quality digital-first creative across Field of Play and off-pitch content, using design, typography, and visual storytelling to bring editorial narratives to life.
- Use graphics and design to add context, clarity, and impact, helping new, casual, and existing fans better understand and engage with Premier League content.
- Apply strong creative judgement to determine when design should lead, support, or simplify a piece of content.
- Design assets that are platform-appropriate, audience-focused, and aligned to Premier League brand standards.
- Contribute ideas, references, and creative thinking that help Premier League Studios produce world-class digital content.
- Support departments across the digital media team, with a particular focus on digital fan marketing.
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external agencies where required.
- Share knowledge, inspiration, and best practice with colleagues, acting as a positive creative role model within the team.
Requirements For The Role
- Strong design portfolio demonstrating high-quality digital design, typography, layout, and visual storytelling.
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- Experience creating digital-first creative that feels native to different platforms and audience behaviours.
- Ability to use design to elevate content, simplify complex information, and support editorial storytelling.
- Strong understanding of social and digital design trends, creative references, and emerging content formats.
- Ability to work at pace, manage multiple design assets, and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good creative judgement, with the ability to balance brand expression, audience needs, and platform best practice.
- Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues across creative, editorial, marketing, and digital teams.
- Confident communicator who can explain design decisions clearly and respond positively to feedback.
- Proactive, organised, and comfortable contributing ideas in a collaborative creative environment.
- Be available for weekend work on rota.
