About the Role
We are looking for a compassionate, motivated and skilled Band 6 Midwife to join our Maternity Services team within Somerset NHS Foundation Trust. In this rewarding role, you will provide high quality, personalised and evidence-based care to women, birthing people and their families throughout the antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal periods.
As an autonomous practitioner, you will support the delivery of safe and equitable maternity care across both hospital and community settings, whilst promoting informed choice, physiological birth where appropriate, and positive outcomes for women, babies and families.

Responsibilities
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside midwives, obstetricians, anaesthetists, neonatal colleagues, health visitors, safeguarding teams and other healthcare professionals.
- Contribute to mentoring students and junior staff.
- Engage in service improvement initiatives.
- Participate in the ongoing development of maternity services.

Requirements
- Must be a compassionate, motivated and skilled Band 6 Midwife.
