MIG/TIG Welder

Location: Hinckley

Job Type: Temp – 3 months

Shift: Monday to Thursday, 7am – 4pm. Friday 7am – 12pm

Pay: £20 - £23 per hour DOE

We are recruiting a MIG/TIG welder to join a busy manufacturing company based in Hinckley. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality welds on a variety of metal components while following technical drawings, specifications, and safety procedures.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

  • Perform MIG and TIG welding on steel, stainless steel, aluminium, and other metals as required
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols
  • Set up and operate welding equipment and tools safely and efficiently
  • Prepare materials and components for welding, including cutting, grinding, cleaning, and fitting
  • Inspect completed welds for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications
  • Identify and correct welding defects when necessary
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work area
  • Follow all company health and safety procedures
  • Complete work to required deadlines and quality standards
  • Carry out routine checks and basic maintenance of welding equipment

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a MIG/TIG Welder or in a similar welding role
  • Proficiency in MIG welding; TIG welding experience required
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
  • Good understanding of workplace health and safety procedures
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
