Location: Peterlee, County Durham
Position: Temporary / Ongoing (Long-term & Permanent opportunities available)
Pay Rates:
- Day Shift: £19.55 per hour
- Backshift: £23.46 per hour
- Night Shift: £26.39 per hour
Plus attendance and quality bonuses available!
About the Role
We are currently recruiting skilled MIG Welders to join a leading heavy manufacturing facility based in Peterlee. Working in a modern, state-of-the-art facility, you will be producing heavy structural components and fabrications working on high-precision fixtures.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out high-quality MIG welding on heavy-duty metal structures and assemblies.
- Work accurately to technical drawings, engineering specifications, and tight tolerances.
- Utilise fixtures, jigs, and overhead cranes to position and assemble components safely.
- Maintain strong attention to detail while prioritising health, safety, and quality standards.
Requirements
- Proven background and experience in MIG welding (heavy engineering/manufacturing preferred).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Relevant welding qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or time-served equivalent) is advantageous.
- Commitment to workplace safety and team collaboration.
- Flexibility to work shift rotations as required.

Selection Process
- Paid On-Site Weld Test: All prospective candidates will undergo a trade test on-site in Peterlee. Successful candidates will be paid for their test upon completion/start on site.
