At IRIS, we're helping education organisations modernise the way they manage payroll, HR and people services. As part of our ambitious Customer Adoptions Programme, we're supporting thousands of customers in moving from desktop solutions to cloud-based technology, and we're looking for an experienced Education Migration Consultant to join our team.

The Role

As an Education Migration Consultant, you'll guide customers through every stage of their migration journey, ensuring a smooth and successful transition to our cloud solutions.

You'll combine your education payroll expertise with strong customer engagement skills to help schools, academies and education organisations confidently adopt new technology while maintaining the highest levels of payroll accuracy and compliance.

Key responsibilities

  • Support education customers transitioning to cloud-based payroll and HR solutions
  • Prepare and validate customer data for migration
  • Execute parallel payroll runs and reconcile results to ensure accuracy
  • Identify, investigate and resolve variances during migrations
  • Deliver training and guidance to customers and colleagues
  • Build trusted relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Contribute to the overall success of a large-scale customer migration programme

About you

We're looking for someone who brings:

  • Experience working within Education Payroll
  • Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, pensions and compliance requirements
  • Understanding of Auto Enrolment regulations
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of IRIS Payroll solutions
  • CIPP qualification or equivalent payroll certification
