Senior Migration Engineer / Migration Technical Lead
Immediate Start | Fully Remote (UK) | Occasional Travel to Dublin & Amsterdam
Lead Enterprise Migrations That Make a Global Impact
Trustmarque Ultima is looking for an experienced Senior Migration Engineer / Migration Technical Lead to join a major enterprise transformation programme.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an infrastructure migration specialist to take ownership of complex Active Directory and infrastructure migrations across multiple operating companies, working within a large-scale international environment.
You'll become the trusted technical lead for one or more operating companies, partnering with local IT teams and central programme stakeholders to ensure migrations are delivered successfully from discovery through to hypercare and decommissioning.

What You'll Be Doing
As the technical lead for assigned operating companies, you'll be responsible for driving migration readiness and ensuring successful delivery throughout the migration lifecycle.
You'll:
- Lead technical discovery and migration readiness activities
- Assess existing infrastructure and identify technical prerequisites
- Analyse source environments and define remediation plans
- Coordinate migration activities across local IT teams and central programme teams
- Support migration planning, execution and post-migration hypercare
- Identify technical risks and implement mitigation plans
- Produce high-quality migration documentation, RAID logs and technical handovers
- Support decommissioning activities following successful migrations
- Act as the trusted technical advisor for project managers, transformation leads and customer stakeholders

What We're Looking For
Essential Experience
We're looking for someone with strong experience delivering enterprise infrastructure and Active Directory migrations, including:
- Active Directory migration and consolidation
- Inter-forest and domain migrations
- DNS, DHCP, Group Policy and PowerShell
- Authentication, domain trusts and service account management
- Infrastructure discovery and migration readiness assessments
- Server and application dependency analysis
- Enterprise networking knowledge including VLANs, routing, IP addressing, LAN/WAN environments and firewall concepts
- Experience working within structured ITIL and enterprise change environments
- Strong technical documentation and governance
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Desirable Experience
You'll stand out if you have experience with:
- Quest On Demand Migration for Active Directory (QODM AD)
- Enterprise M&A integration programmes
- Divestiments and domain consolidations
- Microsoft Entra Connect and identity synchronisation
- reACLing, SID History and file permission migrations
- VMware, Hyper-V or Microsoft Azure
