Migration Programme Manager, Payments and Platform Migration
Permanent | Urgent start, September 2026
Our client is a well established UK compliance and business services company, operating multiple recognised consumer brands. They are moving off a long standing third party platform onto a system built in house, and launching a new payments business alongside it. They need a highly technical, senior Programme Manager to own both workstreams and lead the team delivering them.
This is a large scale, multi-brand data migration, hundreds of thousands of active customer records across well over 100,000 accounts, plus several years of historical records that must stay archived and accessible once the legacy platform retires. Running in parallel is a payments migration, moving stored payment tokens from the current provider to a new one, and standing up the new payments business itself.
Why this role matters
You will be the single accountable owner of the migration programme and the payments workstream together, from planning through to exit and handover. You will lead and manage the team delivering it, including hiring into the payments workstream as it scales. You'll report weekly to the CEO and CPO with a clear, evidenced view of progress, risk and readiness.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
