Role Description

We are seeking a full-time, skilled, and detail-oriented Mill Machine Operator to join our aerospace and precision engineering production team. As an AS9100D certified company, we maintain the highest standards of quality, traceability, and safety. In this role, you will set up and operate manual and CNC milling machines to manufacture high-precision components. You will work closely with engineering drawings to ensure all parts meet strict aerospace-level quality standards and tight tolerances. This position is ideal for a proactive individual with strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Precision Operation: Set up, calibrate, and operate conventional and multi-axis CNC milling machines safely and efficiently.
  • AS9100D Compliance: Adhere strictly to the company’s quality management systems, documentation requirements, and full material traceability procedures in line with AS9100D standards.

  • Quality Inspection: Use precision measuring instruments (micrometres, vernier callipers, and gauges) to inspect finished parts against engineering specs.
  • Process Optimisation: Monitor machine performance, adjust cutting speeds, feed rates, and tool offsets to optimize production and reduce waste.
  • Routine Maintenance: Perform daily preventative maintenance, clear swarf, manage coolant levels, and report mechanical faults promptly.
  • Safety Compliance: Maintain a clean work environment and strictly adhere to all company health, safety, and environmental protocols.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
