Job Opportunity: Miller/Turner
FJA are recruiting on behalf of a well-established engineering and manufacturing business. We are looking for an experienced Miller/Turner to join a skilled production team, manufacturing precision-machined components to exacting standards.

The Miller/Turner Role
- Set up and operate milling and turning machines to manufacture precision components
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work orders
- Work to minimum tolerances of 15 microns
- Machine predominantly 300 series stainless steel, along with a variety of other materials
- Use measuring equipment including calipers and micrometers to inspect finished parts
- Carry out routine maintenance of machinery and tooling
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient production processes
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures and maintain a clean working environment
- Programme basic tool paths as required

Miller/Turner Requirements
- Proven experience as a Miller/Turner or in a similar machining role
- Experience operating milling and turning machines with Prototrak S Series and XYZ S Series controls
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Experience working within an engineering or manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with tooling techniques and precision machining practices
- Ability to programme basic tool paths
- Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Desirable Skills
- Experience using Fanuc Controls
