Pertemps are currently recruiting for experienced Minibus Drivers to work for a day centre in South Birmingham, transporting service users safely and comfortably between their homes and the centre.
This is a long-term, ongoing opportunity with flexible working options available.
The Role
- Collect service users from their homes and transport them safely to the day centre.
- Return service users home at the end of the day.
- Work split shifts between 07:00 and 16:00, covering morning and afternoon journeys.
- Ensure passengers are transported safely, respectfully and on time.
- Assist service users when boarding and leaving the vehicle where required.
- Carry out basic vehicle checks and maintain a high standard of safety.
Requirements
- Full D1 licence entitlement is essential.
- Previous minibus driving experience is essential.
- Experience transporting passengers or vulnerable service users is desirable.
- Enhanced DBS check required – candidates must be able to successfully pass an enhanced DBS check.
- Good communication skills and a patient, caring approach.
- Reliable, punctual and professional.
- Wheelchair clamping experience is desirable but not essential – full training will be provided.
- Comfortable working split shifts.
