Your new company
A growing and ambitious start-up accountancy practice based in Central London is seeking an experienced Mixed Tax Manager to join the business on an initial 3-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the development of a young and dynamic firm, working directly with business owners, high-net-worth individuals, and entrepreneurial clients across a varied portfolio.
The successful candidate will provide both corporate and personal tax advisory and compliance support, helping the firm manage a busy workload while contributing to process improvements and client service delivery.
Your new role
As Mixed Tax Manager, you will be responsible for managing a broad portfolio of clients, providing both compliance and advisory services across corporate and personal taxation matters.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a portfolio of corporate and private clients.
- Reviewing and preparing corporation tax, income tax, and capital gains tax computations and returns.
- Advising clients on a range of tax matters including business structuring, profit extraction, and tax planning.
- Supporting high-net-worth individuals, owner-managed businesses, and entrepreneurial clients.
- Identifying tax risks and opportunities within client portfolios.
- Liaising directly with clients, HMRC, and professional advisers.
- Assisting with ad-hoc advisory projects and tax planning assignments.
- Supporting the Partners with technical tax matters and practice development initiatives.
- Ensuring compliance deadlines are met and maintaining a high standard of client service.

What you'll need to succeed
- ACA, ACCA, CTA, ATT or equivalent professional qualification.
- Strong mixed tax experience covering both corporate and personal tax.
- Previous experience working within an accountancy practice environment.
- Excellent technical knowledge of UK tax legislation.
- Experience advising owner-managed businesses and private clients.
