Mixologist – Another Place, The Lake

Food and Beverage

Team bus service, shared monthly tips and free paddleboard hire

Offering monthly tips, free paddleboard hire, discounted meals and free team parking, all on the shores of Ullswater.

Warm hospitality and contemporary comfort combine with breath-taking views over Ullswater and the surrounding fells.

At Another Place, The Lake, guests come to slow down, reconnect with nature and spend time doing what they love – paddleboarding across the lake, swimming beneath a full moon, exploring the fells and sharing great food with friends and family.

For our team, it’s just as special.

Working here means being part of a welcoming community where you can grow your career, develop your skills and help create memorable experiences for our guests in one of the most inspiring settings in the UK. We also operate a team bus service daily between Penrith station and Ullswater.

Our Mixologist role

We’re looking for a passionate, creative and inspired Mixologist to join our team at Another Place, The Lake.

Set against the backdrop of Ullswater and the surrounding fells, you’ll craft thoughtful, original drinks that surprise and delight our guests, elevating every moment at the bar.

Working across our three locations, The Living Space, Rampsbeck, and The Glasshouse, and inspired by our Cumbrian roots and natural surroundings, you’ll bring a sense of place into every cocktail, using seasonal ingredients and local flavours wherever possible.

You’ll be naturally guest focused, confidently recommending drinks based on mood and occasion, and enjoy working collaboratively, sharing ideas, contributing to tastings and supporting the wider team. Above all, you’ll help create the feeling our guests remember most, being welcomed, cared for and completely at ease.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
