We are looking for a MMIC Layout Engineer to join our leading UK-based Semiconductor client based in County Durham. Please note, candidates must hold a British passport for security clearance reasons to be considered for this role.
Working as part of an experienced team, the MMIC Layout Engineer will provide technical expertise to the Process and Product Engineering Departments in the generation of IC and Mask Reticle Designs for internal and external customers. Our client has a lot of growth planned, and there are excellent avenues for career development.

Responsibilities Will Include
- Providing layout support
- Liaising with IC mask manufacturers, customers, engineers and programme managers to ensure reticle development is carried out in an efficient and timely manner to support timescales and objectives
- Taking part in design and mask release reviews in respect to layout support

Suitable Candidates Will Have
- A qualification in Physics/Electronic or Electrical Engineering (or related field)
- Familiarity with running CAD Engineering Layout Software such as KLayout, Ledit, NAZCA-Design or similar
- Excellent mathematical skills
- A great team work ethic and enthusiasm to learn
