Smart Designs is looking to expand its development network and is seeking an experienced mobile app developer to work on a range of exciting client projects. We're looking for someone with a proven track record of delivering high-quality mobile applications for both iOS (Apple App Store) and Android (Google Play Store). The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate previous commercial projects, understand the complete app lifecycle from planning through to deployment, and be comfortable working alongside our existing design, web and AI development teams.
Essential requirements
- Proven experience building and publishing native or cross-platform mobile applications to both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
- Strong portfolio of completed commercial projects.
- Experience with React Native, Flutter, Swift, Kotlin or equivalent mobile technologies.

- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a wider development team.
- Strong attention to UI/UX and overall application quality.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
