Mobile App Developer - React and Capacitor

Hyalli is a UK residential lettings platform serving tenants, agencies, and landlords through dedicated portals, built as a React web application on a live production backend. We are now bringing the platform to the App Store and Google Play using Capacitor, and are seeking an experienced contractor who has successfully completed this exact type of engagement previously.
Engagement Overview:
This role is expected to require approximately 6–8 weeks of full-time work to bring both applications to market, followed by an ongoing retainer of approximately 2-4 days per month to support releases and OS updates. The position is fully remote, working closely with our product lead on the frontend and our Backend Engineer.

- Capacitor integration around our existing React, Vite, and TypeScript application.
- Implement native plugin functionality, including push notifications (FCM and APNs), camera capture for document and ID verification, and geolocation for our property mapping features.
- Manage iOS and Android build pipelines, including code signing, certificates, and provisioning.
- Oversee end-to-end submission to the App Store and Google Play, including resolution of Apple App Review feedback.
- Deliver a fully documented build and release process to enable the internal team to manage future releases independently.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of two applications personally shipped to both the App Store and Google Play using Capacitor or Ionic (store links must be provided with application).
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with APNs and FCM push notification setup, as well as Apple's provisioning and code signing processes.
- Advanced proficiency in React and TypeScript, with the ability to work confidently within an existing production codebase.
- Proven experience integrating native plugins such as camera and geolocation, including managing platform-specific permission flows.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines via Codemagic, Appflow, or GitHub Actions with macOS runners
- Familiarity with deep linking and universal links
- Prior experience with map-based or marketplace-style apps

This role does not involve a React Native migration or design work. The product is fully developed and operational. The objective is a swift and professional transition into stores properly and fast.
