Job Opportunity: Mobile Application Developer and Support Analyst
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Mobile Application Developer and Support Analyst based in the United Kingdom.
As a Mobile Application Developer and Support Analyst, you will design, develop, test, deploy, support, and optimize SAP-based mobile applications and extensions. You will work extensively with SAP Mobile Development Kit (MDK), SAP Business Application Studio (BAS), and SAP BTP Mobile Services. The role combines hands-on mobile development with technical troubleshooting and ongoing application support. You will collaborate with SAP developers, functional consultants, business stakeholders, and other technology teams to deliver reliable and scalable mobile solutions. Your work will span integrations, offline-first functionality, backend extensions, security, and device capabilities. This is a remote opportunity suited to a technically strong professional who can take ownership of mobile solutions throughout their lifecycle.
Accountabilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, support, and optimize SAP-based mobile applications and extensions using SAP MDK, BAS, and SAP BTP Mobile Services.
- Create and maintain SAP MDK pages, rules, actions, and application functionality aligned with business requirements.
- Integrate mobile applications with OData services and SAP S/4HANA environments.
- Implement and maintain offline synchronization and offline-first mobile capabilities.
- Develop and maintain backend extensions using technologies such as SAP CAP, Node.js, or Java.
- Configure SAP BTP destinations, roles, authentication mechanisms, and security policies.
- Implement integrations with mobile device capabilities, including camera, GPS, barcode and QR scanning, and file handling.
- Support mobile application deployment across iOS and Android platforms.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications to ensure reliability, performance, and a high-quality user experience.
- Work closely with SAP development teams, functional consultants, business stakeholders, and other technology teams throughout the application lifecycle.
- Contribute to technical documentation and communicate technical issues, solutions, and recommendations clearly.

Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on experience developing with SAP Mobile Development Kit (MDK).
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with SAP Business Application Studio (BAS).
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with SAP BTP Mobile Services.
- SAP certification in one or more of SAP BTP, SAP MDK, or SAP Mobile Services.
- Strong experience developing SAP MDK pages, rules, and actions.
- Proven experience integrating MDK applications with OData services and SAP S/4HANA.
- Experience implementing offline synchronization and offline-first mobile functionality.
- Strong JavaScript development skills.
- Experience with SAP Fiori design and application development.
- Experience deploying mobile applications for both iOS and Android.
- Experience developing backend extensions using SAP CAP, Node.js, or Java.
- Experience working with SAP HANA Cloud and HDI containers.
- Practical knowledge of BTP destinations, roles, authentication, and security policies.
- Experience with OAuth and SAML.
- Experience integrating applications with device capabilities such as cameras, GPS, barcode and QR scanners, and file handling.
- Strong troubleshooting, debugging, performance optimization, and application support skills.
- Excellent technical documentation and communication abilities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with developers, functional consultants, business stakeholders, and cross-functional technology teams.
- Post-secondary education related to Computer Technology or a comparable technical discipline.
