About The Role

We are looking for a Mobile Cleaner to join the Crawley Homes Cleaning and Clearance Team, helping to maintain clean, safe, and welcoming communal areas across our housing stock. Working as part of a dedicated team, you will play a vital role in ensuring residents and visitors enjoy a high standard of environment within our communities.
As a Cleaner, you will undertake a variety of cleaning and clearance duties across Crawley Homes properties, including:
- cleaning communal areas within blocks of flats, including corridors, stairwells, entrance halls, and lifts
- sweeping and litter-picking external areas adjacent to entrances
- cleaning bin stores as required
- assisting with cleaning duties in sheltered housing schemes, hostels, and void properties when needed
- reporting defects and maintenance concerns to the Cleaning and Clearance Manager
- responding appropriately to complaints and carrying out remedial actions where necessary
- ensuring all work is completed in line with health and safety requirements, equality commitments, and environmental policies
Requirements
You should have previous experience of cleaning commercial or residential premises, together with a working knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and the ability to use mechanized cleaning equipment.

Additional information
The successful candidate will:
- be required to wear a uniform
- be willing to adjust working hours in emergency situations when required
- work as part of a supportive and committed team delivering vital services to residents across the borough
Hours of work will be 37 per week, Monday to Friday.
A positive attitude towards customer service is essential and a flexible approach is also necessary.
A full and current UK driving license will be a requirement of the role.
A Baseline Personnel Security Standard check is required as part of this role, and that will also entail the successful applicant undertaking a Basic Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check.
