📢 WE’RE HIRING | Mobile Cleaning Area Supervisor
Salary: £35,000 per annum
Working pattern: 5 days per week
Location: Mobile – various sites
Employment type: Full-time
Reporting to: Divisional Director
Job Purpose
The Mobile Cleaning Supervisor will report directly to the Divisional Director and provide operational support to the Operations Managers across the division. The primary purpose of the role is to support Operations Managers with the effective day-to-day management of cleaning operations, ensuring sites are adequately staffed, cleaning standards are maintained, operational issues are addressed promptly, and client requirements are met. The role will also support, supervise, train, and coach site-based cleaning operatives. The successful candidate must be hands-on and prepared to work alongside the cleaning team when required, including providing cleaning cover during staff shortages or operational emergencies.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Support
- Provide direct operational support to Operations Managers across assigned sites.
- Visit multiple sites to monitor service delivery and cleaning standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks.
- Support staffing, shift cover, sickness, holidays, and short-notice requirements.
- Assist with resolving operational issues and maintaining continuity of service.
- Escalate significant operational issues to the Divisional Director.
Cleaning Team Support
- Be prepared to work alongside cleaning operatives and carry out cleaning duties when required.
- Provide hands-on support during staff shortages, emergencies, or periods of increased workload.
- Supervise, support, and motivate cleaning operatives and team leaders.
- Lead by example by maintaining high standards of cleaning and professional conduct.
- Assist teams with difficult or specialist cleaning tasks where appropriate.
- Support cleaning teams across different sites as operational requirements dictate.

Training and Toolbox Talks
- Deliver regular toolbox talks to site-based cleaning operatives.
- Provide on-site training, coaching, and practical demonstrations.
- Ensure operatives understand cleaning procedures, PPE, COSHH, health and safety, manual handling, equipment use, and site-specific requirements.
- Identify training needs and report them to the Operations Manager and Divisional Director.
- Maintain records of toolbox talks and training delivered.
Quality and Compliance
- Carry out regular cleaning quality inspections.
- Ensure company cleaning standards and procedures are consistently followed.
- Monitor attendance, timekeeping, performance, and compliance.
- Ensure cleaning equipment, materials, and consumables are available and used correctly.
- Support audits, inspections, and compliance checks.
Requirements
Essential
- 🚗 Full UK driving licence
- 🗣️ 🇬🇧 Fluent English
Desirable
- 🗣️ 🇵🇹 Portuguese
- 🗣️ 🇪🇸 Spanish
The successful candidate must be:

Experience and Skills
- Previous commercial cleaning experience.
- Previous supervisory or team leader experience.
- Good knowledge of cleaning standards and health and safety requirements.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to train, coach, and motivate cleaning operatives.
Reports directly to: Divisional Director
Works closely with: Operations Managers, Cleaning Operatives, Supervisors
Key Objective
The key objective of the Mobile Cleaning Supervisor is to support the Operations Managers and Divisional Directors in maintaining effective, efficient, safe, and consistent cleaning operations across the division. The role requires a hands-on, flexible approach, with the Supervisor expected to support cleaning teams directly when required while also providing cleaning & supervision, training, toolbox talks, quality monitoring, and operational support.
