Job Description
Salary: £13.45 per hour | Permanent | 35 hours per week | Mobile position, Lancashire |
Mobile Cleaner (Residential Care Homes & Day Centres)
Location: Various Residential Care Homes and Day Centres across Lancashire
Hours: 35 hours per week, working various shifts between 9:00am and 7:00pm on a rota basis
Pay: £13.45 per hour
Mileage: 55p per mile mileage allowance provided
About The Role
We are looking for a reliable, flexible, and detail-focused Mobile Cleaner to join our team, providing cleaning support across a range of Residential Care Homes and Day Centres throughout Lancashire.
This is a mobile role requiring travel between sites to ensure high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety are maintained for residents, service users, staff, and visitors. The successful candidate will take pride in delivering excellent cleaning standards and be comfortable working independently across different locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general cleaning duties across a variety of care settings, including communal areas, offices, bathrooms, kitchens, corridors, and service user areas.
- Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, and polish surfaces to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Follow site-specific cleaning schedules and complete required cleaning records.
- Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and in accordance with training and COSHH guidance.
- Provide cover across multiple locations as required, adapting to different site environments and operational needs.
- Work professionally and respectfully with residents, service users, colleagues, and visitors.

Person Specification
Essential
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional approach to work.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Willingness and ability to travel to various locations across Lancashire.
Desirable
- Previous cleaning or domestic services experience.
- Experience working within care, healthcare, or residential settings.
- Knowledge of infection control procedures.
Travel Requirements
As this is a mobile position, the successful candidate will be required to travel between various Residential Care Homes and Day Centres across Lancashire.
