Mobile Gas Engineer

📍 South East England (Mobile Role)

💼 Full Time | Permanent

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced and customer-focused Mobile Gas Engineer to join our Facilities Management team covering sites across the South East of England.

This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the UK's leading property services providers, delivering high-quality maintenance and compliance services across a diverse portfolio of commercial and public sector buildings.

As a Mobile Gas Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, fault finding, and compliance activities on a range of commercial gas systems and associated plant. You will play a key role in ensuring our clients receive a safe, efficient, and professional service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs to commercial gas systems and equipment.
  • Diagnose faults and undertake remedial works to minimise downtime.
  • Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks in line with schedules and statutory requirements.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
  • Accurately complete job records, compliance documentation, and reports using mobile technology.
  • Respond to reactive maintenance requests within agreed service levels.
  • Identify and report opportunities for improvements and additional works.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota when required.

About You

We are looking for a qualified Gas Engineer who has experience working within a Facilities Management or building services environment and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service.

Essential Requirements

  • Commercial Gas qualifications (ACS Gas Safe certified).
  • Experience maintaining and repairing commercial gas equipment.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Knowledge of current gas safety legislation and industry standards.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.

Desirable

  • LPG, Oil, or catering gas qualifications.
  • Electrical or multi-skilled maintenance experience.
  • Experience within a Facilities Management environment.
  • Knowledge of BMS systems and associated building services plant.
