BAM UK & Ireland is recruiting a Mobile Contract Manager - Soft Services based out of our offices in Kilsyth and covering multiple client sites within the designated region of Scotland predominately the central belt and surrounding areas. Working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday.
The Mobile Soft Services Contract Manager is responsible for the operational delivery, H&S, compliance, and commercial performance of multiple soft services contracts across a diverse portfolio of client sites. The role ensures that cleaning, security, waste management, reception, and other support services are delivered safely, efficiently, and to agreed service levels.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
- Deliver a first class cleaning service looking at ways to maximise efficiencies, performance and turnover
- Produce performance reports against contractual and strategic performance indicators.
- Manage the day-to-day delivery of multiple soft services contracts across various locations.
- Ensure all services are delivered in accordance with contractual requirements, KPIs, and SLAs.
- Conduct regular site inspections, quality audits, and compliance reviews.
- Develop and implement service improvement plans to enhance operational performance.
- Respond promptly to operational issues, emergencies, and client escalations.
- Manage a diverse team across a multiple accounts / locations.
- Review of supply chain partners to meet service needs.
- Explore alternative procurement methods to improve service delivery
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Attend regular contract review meetings and present performance reports.
- Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and add value for clients.
- Resolve complaints professionally and implement corrective actions where necessary.
Financial Management
- Manage contract budgets to ensure profitability and cost control.
- Monitor labour costs, consumables, and subcontractor expenditure.
- Identify efficiencies and cost-saving initiatives without compromising service quality.
- Support contract mobilisation, renewals, and business growth opportunities.
- Identify contract risks and work closely with the commercial team to proactively manage and mitigate risk

Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company policies.
- Complete and maintain risk assessments, method statements and COSHH documentation
- Maintain compliance with relevant industry standards and client-specific requirements.
- Promote a positive safety culture across all sites.
People Management
- Recruit, develop, and manage site supervisors and operational teams.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels and resource planning across the contract portfolio.
- Conduct performance reviews, coaching, and regular one-to-one meetings.
- Support employee engagement and promote high standards of customer service.
- Manage absence, disciplinary, grievance, and performance matters in line with company procedures.
- Encourage, coach, mentor and manage the effective performance of people and develop them to meet the contract requirements.
- Oversee the training and development of teams through BICSc standards and accreditation, and to ensure health, safety and quality standards are maintained
Quality & Performance
- Monitor service quality through audits and performance data.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all contracts.
- Ensure contractual documentation is maintained accurately.
You will also be responsible for business performance, meeting targets including achievement of budget and seeking new business opportunities within your area of responsibility. Working within a Facilities Management environment, the Contract Manager will build strong client relationships, lead and develop operational teams, drive continuous improvement, and ensure contractual obligations are consistently achieved while maximising profitability.

What do you bring to the role?
Essential
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience managing multiple soft services contracts within a Facilities Management environment.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning, security, waste management, and other soft FM services.
- Experience managing multi-site operations.
- Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong financial and commercial awareness with budget management experience.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety legislation.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent customers service and people management skills
- Full UK driving licence.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Desirable
- IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH qualification.
- Experience within healthcare, education, commercial, retail, or public sector FM.
- Experience mobilising new contracts.
Working Conditions
- Frequent travel between client sites.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends to support operational requirements.
- Participation in an on-call rota where required.
