About The Role
We are seeking a Mid-Level Mobile Developer (iOS) to join a dynamic software house based in Brighton. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a developer who is passionate about creating high-quality, polished mobile applications in a collaborative environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining iOS applications using Swift, with a focus on delivering seamless user experiences and robust functionality. The position offers a flexible work arrangement, with four days in the office and one day working from home, fostering a healthy work-life balance. The salary range for this role is between £50,000 and £70,000, depending on experience and skills.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- A solid background in iOS development with proven experience in building and maintaining applications in Swift
- Strong knowledge of modern UI design principles, particularly with SwiftUI
- A good understanding of software design principles such as SOLID
- Experience working with RESTful APIs to integrate backend services
- Familiarity with memory management, multi-threading, and performance optimization techniques
- Additional skills that are advantageous include experience with Android development using Kotlin
A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory for candidates with substantial hands-on experience.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Developing new features and maintaining existing iOS applications
- Ensuring high standards of quality and performance
- Designing intuitive and modern user interfaces
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including designers and backend developers
- Applying best practices in software development to produce scalable and maintainable code
- Working closely with project managers to understand requirements
- Providing technical guidance and contributing to code reviews to uphold code quality standards
- Optimizing app performance through effective memory management and multi-threading techniques
- Troubleshooting and resolving bugs
- Staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve the development process
